About Me

Brijesh C. Srivastava
B.E., M.E. (Civil Engineering, IIT Roorkee)

A Civil Engineering professional with an illustrious career spanning more than three and a half decades, I combine deep technical expertise with proven leadership in delivering railway, metro, and large-scale infrastructure projects of national importance.

An alumnus of IIT Roorkee, I began my professional journey with the National Industrial Development Corporation (NIDC) before moving to RITES Limited, where I dedicated over 31 years and rose to the level of General Manager. At RITES, I spearheaded diverse and challenging projects across India, ranging from railway corridors, bridges, and workshops to metros, depots, and elevated viaducts, ensuring excellence in execution, safety, and stakeholder alignment.

Following my superannuation in March 2023, I continued to contribute my expertise in leadership roles with prestigious organizations:

  • Chief Resident Engineer, Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation, Ahmedabad (representing RITES in the GC).
  • Contract Management Expert, Egis India for CAO/Construction, Northern Railway.
  • Chief Expert, Aarvee Engineering Consultants for CAO/Construction, North Eastern Railway (present assignment).

With a reputation for strategic vision, meticulous project management, and multidisciplinary coordination, I remain passionate about shaping transformative infrastructure that strengthens India’s transport backbone and elevates urban mobility.

Key Experience

Over the span of more than three decades, I have cultivated a distinguished career in the conception, orchestration, and execution of complex civil engineering works, encompassing railway systems, bridges, edifices, and arterial roadways, during my long association with RITES and NIDC.

My professional forte resides in the management of railway infrastructure, wherein I have overseen earthworks, track formations, and the construction of both minor and monumental bridges, coupled with the meticulous laying of permanent way. Among the more illustrious undertakings are the realization of a 61-metre span Open Web Girder Rail-Over-Rail Bridge, complete with the rigours of CRS sanction and intricate block arrangements; the execution of a two-kilometre elevated RCC viaduct comprising seventy-eight spans, engineered to withstand Dedicated Freight Corridor loadings with pile foundations and composite steel superstructures; and the construction of a 7 × 18.3-metre river crossing employing prestressed concrete girders. Each of these enterprises demanded exacting coordination and seamless interfacing with Indian Railways, the DFC, and a host of ancillary stakeholders.

In addition, I command profound experience in tendering, bidding strategy, and contractual governance, being thoroughly conversant with contemporary guidelines and procurement protocols. My professional compass has further been sharpened by participation in specialized executive development programmes at institutions of repute, thereby reinforcing both the breadth and depth of my engineering acumen.
